Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
"This incredibly detailed, fully poseable action figure is based on the second film of the Lord of the Rings Triolgy, The Two Towers. The combination of laser-scanning technology coupled with intricate sculpting has flawlessly captured the likenesses of the actors, their costumes and weapons. This Boromir figure comes with authentic character-dedicated accessories and a sword! "

4 out of 5 stars Uncanny representation of Sean Bean   January 7, 2008

Loses a point on durability because of the difficult-to-place-in-hand nature of the horn of Gondor. Otherwise a very faithful representation of a key character from a not-shown-in-theaters scene. I'd definitely put it a notch or two ahead of the "Fellowship of the Ring" version of Boromir in terms of poseability and dynamism.

4 out of 5 stars Boromir: Captian of Gondor   December 9, 2004

This action figure is pretty cool. He comes with a sword and Horn of Gondor. He doesn't have sword slashing action, but he does have a arm that moves and raises his horn, even though the horn falls out and it doesn't work very well. Besides this, he's pretty cool. He has a ripped cap to signify he was in battle, and it is a GREAT likeness of Sean Bean. He is a fun toy, and looks great with a Farmir in Gondorian Armor figure. He is a great figure.

Well, this is a nice figure. In fact, it is very very nice. However, this is only because Faramir in Armor was a very nice figure. This is just FIA with Boromir's head, sword, and sheath. (Along with a very tattered cloth cape)

I really did not especially seek this figure out. It came in a lot of 8 figures I bought on ebay. I opened him and displayed him anyway, though. And it is a nice figure, and part of the collection.

I must say that the headsculpt is really, really good. It's the best thing about the figure. It looks exactly like Boromir from the films.

For some reason, he still has his dinky sword. Hopefully the upcoming Super Poseable Boromir from FOTR wave 4 will fix this obvious problem. Also, it is very soft and flimsy this time around. (Unfortunately, the curse of flimsy weapons plagues many of Toy Biz's most recent figures.)

Well, if your the kind of collector who feels he must have every figure from every wave, then you will want this figure. Otherwise, there isn't much reason to buy this figure.

4 out of 5 stars A mere mix of Faramir in armor and Boromir   November 15, 2004

The son of Denethor, and captain of Gondor's forces, Boromir played a key role in preventing the forces of Mordor from taking the bridge at Osgiliath, just one of many crowning achievements Boromir accomplished. This figure comes from the Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers bonus extended edition flashback, which Faramir had of his brother in all his glory, rejoicing the victory of Gondor.

I actually had the chance to purchase this figure, and I don't let a whole lot hold me back from buying LotR figures. But looking at the package, all I saw was a Faramir in Armor figure, with a Boromir head and sword! The sword wasn't even the better edition which the released with the second wave of Boromir figures -- it was the puny one most of us are familiar with from the first edition.

Therefore, particularly since Boromir was only briefly seen in this costume at the flashback victory scene in Osgiliath, I'm simply not enthusiastic about buying this figure. If you really need it for your collection, then yes, you'll want to buy it. But if you're a little more picky, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this one.

5 out of 5 stars Great action figure of Boromir   November 3, 2004

I'm glad they made a second Boromir figure. He is such a key part to the beginning of the story that I'm surprised they haven't made more of him. His face is great and his armor is great as well. It's nice to have both Faramir and Boromir in their Gondorian armor. I don't like his cape. It looks like it was sent through a garbage disposal. They made it to look all tattered and worn, but that doesn't fit with his well kempt appearance in his armor. I just took the cape off and threw it away. Without his cape, he looks fantastic and he is a must have for all collectors.
